Wednesday Marks 36th Annual ‘Dine Out To Help Out’ The Food Bank of Lincoln
LINCOLN–(KFOR Sept. 11)–Whether it’s breakfast, lunch or supper, if you go out to eat at any point Wednesday, you can help the Food Bank of Lincoln with the 36th annual Dine Out to Help Out.
Ten percent of the day’s proceeds from at least 50 Lincoln area restaurants at more than 130 locations will go to the Food Bank. It will go toward turning those dollars into meals for neighbors in 17 southeast Nebraska counties that are facing hunger.
Food Bank of Lincoln president and CEO Michaella Kumke tells KFOR News that 1 in 7 people in the area, including 1 in 5 children, don’t know where their next meal will come from.
“When folks support things like ‘Dine Out to Help Out’ and Food Bank programs and our partners, we make that a little less of a question for our neighbors,” Kumke said.
