(KFOR NEWS  August 6, 2019)   On August 4th, shortly after 11:30 a.m., a 33-year-old woman reported she witnessed a woman wearing a blue and purple tie dye dress walking through the trailer park near 42nd and Cornhusker Hwy.  She heard a gun shot a short time later and realized the woman was holding handgun with it pointed at the ground. 53-year-old, Peggy Sue Mai, reported she was walking back from the gas station when she found the gun on the ground.  She initially claimed she accidentally fired it but later admitted she pulled the trigger not realizing it was loaded.  On August 5th, shortly before 3:30 p.m., a 49-year-old Kansas man reported he was visiting a relative in the same trailer park from over the weekend.  The man reported he had his handgun in his bag when he loaded his vehicle to drive back home on Sunday.  He believed the gun may have fallen out of his bag because the zipper was open.  The man’s lost gun was the same gun Mai found on the ground.
