The Nebraska Caregiver Coalition always wants to celebrate and recognize Nebraska family caregivers. We have members across the State who are in touch with the caregivers in their area and strive to assist them in their caregiving journey. We have had the Governor sign a proclamation in November which is National Family Caregivers month for many years. Before the pandemic we also held a ceremony at the tree we planted on Capitol grounds and that was followed with a luncheon. We continued the proclamation signing via Zoom for the past few years. This year we had the proclamation signing with a hybrid event, in person and on Zoom, and decided to do our celebration luncheon in April. Herre is the invitation. You will want to get registered. We are meeting at Talent Plus (Talent+ on the street sign.) There is ample parking and an elevator to reach the dining room on the upper floor. We will again recognize the caregiver award winners from 2023. We will also introduce State senators and hopefully the Governor. We will then have the privilege of hearing from one of our members, Sarah Rasby, UNL PhD candidate. She has been a caregiver so has walked the caregiving journey. All this after a delicious meal.
