Explosive Device Found In Near South Alley Way

LINCOLN–(KFOR July 18)–A robot was used to pick up an explosive device found in an alley in the Near South area of Lincoln.  Police say an officer responding to a call in the area of 17th and “B” Street found the device around 7:45pm Wednesday.  Lincoln Fire & Rescue used the robot and it moved the device into a special container for disposal.  Authorities intend to investigate how the device got there and find out more about its type and potential.
