HUSKER FOOTBALL: Frost Says Practice is More Fun Than Last Year

Nebraska football players and staff have begun preparing themselves for the upcoming season, and head coach Scott Frost says things are going much better now than they were a year ago.

“Last year, there were times it was hard coaching the team,” said Frost. “This year, everybody shows up with a smile on their face, I don’t see one person that I don’t want to talk to and they’re having fun. We definitely can’t stop improving right now, but every position looks better than it did a year ago.”

Frost also told reporters that the team is looking much more enthusiastic about their upcoming season, almost to the point of too much enthusiasm: “We’ve had to have talks two nights in a row about slowing them down because we’ve been a little too reckless.”

The Huskers will open their season at home against the South Alabama Jaguars on Saturday, August 31, with kickoff at 11:00 a.m.
