CRIME STOPPERS: Dog Killed During Hit and Run in East Lincoln Neighborhood

LINCOLN–(KFOR Nov. 8)–In our weekly Crime Stoppers report, Lincoln Police are looking for the identity of a driver who struck and killed a Golden Retriever in the area of 7900 block of Vine Street on Thursday evening.

The dog, a one year old puppy named Zoi, reportedly saw another dog and ran into the street at which time a white or light colored Subaru Crosstrek struck and killed the dog. LPD Forensics Technician Becky Keller says the unknown driver stopped briefly, and a white female passenger exited the vehicle briefly, before getting back in and leaving the scene of the accident.

The vehicle was traveling East on Vine Street. The vehicle is going to have some front end damage on the passenger side front bumper.
