What: Caregiver Education Meeting
When: Tuesday, March 26th at 1:30p
Where: Aldersgate UMC 84th and South Streets, Lincoln Ne

There is ample parking, no steps, and a nice meeting room. The presentation begins at 1:30pmCT. There is always time allowed for discussion and sharing after the presentation. Everyone is welcome to attend. The meetings are free and you do NOT need to register.

The presentation for March 26th is entitled Aging in Place: AARP Family Caregiving, Fraud, Livable Communities, Resources, and More. Jina Ragland, Associate State Director of AARP Nebraska will give the presentation. She also deals with Advocacy & Outreach with AARP. Aging in place is a critical mission to AARP. She invites you to come discover and hear about all the resources available to support and advocate for and on behalf of family caregivers. Jina attends the Nebraska legislature sessions, the committee hearings that deal with caregiver concerns, and helps disseminate the information to those working with family caregivers. Jina has a wealth of knowledge about caregiving resources and will share them.

There will be time for discussion and for you to ask questions after the presentation. The presentation and the folder of resources we share will provide invaluable information, not only for family caregivers but also for family members, pastors/church members, friends and neighbors as well as professional care providers.

I have lined up some important presentations for 2024 and we will have a sheet noting them to distribute. Aging Partners will also bring some hard copies of the survey they are doing so if you didn’t get it done online when I sent it out you can take one to do it.
