LINCOLN–(KFOR Sept. 19)–Two Lincoln men are in jail, where a suspected drunk man allegedly sideswiped another man’s car and both starting fighting early Thursday morning.

Police Officer Luke Bonkiewicz says 43-year-old Romulus Gehle apparently hit a vehicle belonging to Michael Trammel. A chase ensued then ended at 68th and Platte, when Trammel and Gehle started fighting.

“Both men exited their vehicles and Trammel placed Gehle in, what Gehle, described as a chokehold,” Bonkiewicz said.

An officer stopped and broke up the fight and took both men into custody.

Trammel was put in jail for strangulation, while Gehle was arrested for 3rd-offense DUI, driving under suspension and careless driving.
