LINCOLN–(KFOR July 10)–A 25-year-old Lincoln man was arrested on Tuesday after he allegedly stabbed his older brother in the neck with a pair of scissors.

Nawaf Khalaf was charged with 2nd Degree Assault a little after 10pm Tuesday near I-80 and Cornhusker Highway, after getting into a fight with his older brother.

Lincoln Police say Khalaf got mad when his older brother’s 1 month old child woke him up, eventually escalating to a point where he used a pair of scissors to stab his brother in the neck, leaving a two to three centimeter gash in his neck.

The victim was transported to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries, and Khalaf was taken into custody.
