Man Robbed and Assaulted Near Cotner Boulevard and R Street

Lincoln Police are investigating the attack of a 36-year-old Lincoln man in the 300 block of North Cotner Boulevard Monday night to determine if it may have been a hate crime.

Police Capt. Jake Dilsaver reports the men allegedly called the man “white boy,” then attacked the victim – punching and kicking him on the ground. They didn’t get the backpack, but they did steal his wallet.

One suspect is described as a white or Hispanic male in his 20s with a medium build and dark clothing. The other suspect is described as a black male in his 20s with medium build and dark clothing. The victim went to the hospital with minor injuries.
