Mayor Still Encouraging Lincoln Residents to Conserve Outdoor Water Usage

LINCOLN–(KFOR June 23)–You are still being highly encouraged to conserve your outdoor water usage in Lincoln.

There are no mandatory watering restrictions, but Mayor Leirion Gaylor Baird encourages you to help out by being conscious of how this drought is affecting the city’s water supply as we get into the summer months. Gaylor Baird told Lincoln’s Morning News on KFOR on Friday morning the water sources that feed the city’s supply typically are at 100% at this time of the year. Right now, it’s 60 percent of capacity.

River flows into Lincoln’s water supply are at their lowest levels since 1956.
