Lincoln, Nebraska, Oct. 2, 2019 — The University of Nebraska–Lincoln’s 2019 homecoming parade is expected to be the largest in school history, featuring a new route and over 50 entries.

The parade starts at 6 p.m. Oct. 4, and follows Vine Street from 16th Street to the East Stadium Plaza. It will feature the Cornhusker Marching Band, Husker Spirit Squad, mascots, decorated golf carts, student groups, homecoming royalty and special guests, including members of the 1969 Husker football team.

The parade will end near the Cornstock celebration, which runs from 4:30 to 9:30 p.m. on the plaza. The family-friendly event will feature VIP appearances, a Ferris wheel, Mutual of Omaha’s Wild Kingdom, games and activities for children and adults, live entertainment and food trucks.

The parade will be followed by a musical performance by Nebraska singer Hannah Huston at 6:50 p.m.; a pep rally and jester competition featuring Husker students at 7 p.m.; and a “Huskaire” performance by Big Top Arts, a cirque-style acrobat group, at 7:30 p.m.
