OMAHA–(WOWT June 28)–A private plane had emergency landing early Friday morning in the Millard area of southwest Omaha, after experiencing some engine issues.

According to Omaha TV station WOWT, it happened around 4am near 132nd and “Q” Streets, just outside of the Millard Airport.

The pilot told first responders that he was flying in from Fargo, North Dakota and developed engine trouble. A WOWT reporter spoke briefly to the man who believes he may have run out of fuel.

The pilot is Eugene Puttbrese of Frazee, Minnesota. He said he was on his way to Omaha to pick up his son.
