University of Nebraska President Hank Bounds will receive a $300,000 deferred compensation when he leaves this August.  Bounds and his family are heading to the University of South Alabama where he will teach graduate students.  Although Bounds would not be eligible for the payouts until he had served five years at NU, the board of regents decided after 4 and a half years, he deserved it. His base pay is $510,400, plus almost $30,000 in miscellaneous which brings the total to 540,000 thousand.
