Lincoln already has a West Beltway, and now construction is scheduled to start next year on a South Beltway.

Lancaster County Engineer, Pam Dingman, wants to see an East Belway built. It took more than 50 years of talking to start building the South Beltway.

A County safety survey show if the East Beltway isn’t built by 2040, 148th Street will have to become a 4-lane divided highway to handle all the traffic. Dingman has met with County Commissioners to discuss setting aside funding needed to purchase land along the east corridor.
