Man Jailed For Assault on LPD Officer

A 28-year old Lincoln man was jailed on Monday after an being accused of assaulting a Lincoln Police Officer the week before.
The call was for a check on a suicidal man at 800 Rutland Drive. When a struggle ensued, the man tried to get an officer’s holstered gun.
The cops were able to get the man under control and into custody, at which point he was taken to the hospital.
